「Right, let's clarify things. I understand that many Japanese fans have been led to believe that I'd be performing in Kyoto on the 13th of April. I won't. But what I will do is make what I believe is called a 'personal appearance' at an evening organised by my friends The Penelopes - on the evening of the 12th. The venue is
Modern Times; the address: Kiyamachi, Kyoto, Empire Bldg. B1, Kiyamachi Sanjyo Agaru, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto-shi. Doors open at 7pm, but I don't expect to be there until 10pm at the earliest. It'll be a chance to meet up with fans, have a few drinks, chat and, of course, grab a guitar at some point. BUT IT WON'T BE A 'PROPER' LOUIS PHILIPPE GIG!!! To all Japanese vistors of this board: please make it clear to your friends. I'd hate to have someone travelling 5 hours on the bullet train only to find out that Louis is there, but with no band. I hope this clarifies things. I was gobsamcked when ○○○ mentioned this 'gig' on the board a while ago - I knew nothing of it! Anyway, it's all sorted out now.
